ORGANIC PATTERN

Organic Pattern

Organic Pattern is a series of plaster sculptures whose formal focus is growth, layering and space. It is about the exploration of the physical limits of the material gypsum. In terms of content, Organic Pattern is related to aspects of microbiology according to Antoine Béchamp. He examined dead or destroyed cells and observed how so-called microzymes emerged from dying cells and developed into new forms of life. Béchamp saw in the micro-enzymes a form of immortality. The work of Organic Patterns can be understood and reinterpreted as a parallel phenomenon to the phenomenon of microzymes.
